Crisp Architects The floors are wide board resawn oak I believe. As long as you put multiple coats of polyurethane on them, you shoul be fine.

snowhite84 Yes, poly is your friend. Tile would be slippery IMO but wood can always be sanded and refinished. Maybe just consider a rug outside the door, if you are worried about pool / water traffic.

jkennedy76 Did you vary the widths of the floorboards? They appear to be 7" and 5" ? We're considering doing the same variation, but I'm in a toss up vs. doing all the same 7" width. Love the wide boards! Very nicely done.
