first move it down so its not sitting on the frame of the door. take the stuff above on wall all down. that is what is throwing it all of they are not centered to the table space, the table is not centered to the wall.... move it down, start from a bare wall. let us help you!!! and back up to take a few more pictures.

Ok i can not move it down at all to the left is only about 2 feet and there is a door that opens there so the door would be hitting the bar! And i can not move back anymore to take a picture i was standing up against another cabinet ! So sorry

oh my...ok sorry!! but you must then take the stuff off the wall, and at least center something to the table. get some different color plates for your rack and you can still use that right now they just blend.

Btw the stuff on the wall is even with the wall and was there before we put the Bar in! The painting on the wall was done by a friend so i would like to keep it even though i like the ones you showed! And it matches the fruit design going around the door frame any more suggestions with this painting !

Amy, I think the wall display needs to be centered with the bar, not the wall. Wish we could see more of the room.

Your top would fit nicely in the space with recutting, and some larger, yellow dominant plates will read better on the wall and help tie your colours together more. Rather than trying to center to anything, you might concentrate on filling the space - replace the mirror with the new plates, lower the picture so that its top is a few inches lower than the top of the plates, and place the shelf lower and to the right of that, so that it can hold decorative S&P, napkin holder - whatever you use and need to reach from the stools. Your vase is very pretty, and your fresh flowers are just the thing to set it off - no need to leave place settings out between meals.

Amy, just a thought, would there be room to move the bar the other direction so one of the short sides are against the wall? Would it interfere with the stove? How is the bar finished on the other side? I was thinking if it fit that way, you could remove replace the bars counter top with one that had overhang on both sides, (probably quite cheaply) and then you could fit 4 stools around it.

blue delft plates would be nice, or something with a sage green...or something with a white background. check out http://www.wayfair.com/Decorative-Plates-C215464.html
