Help!

Hi guys! We bought an old house and our currently flipping it. I was just wondering if I should put curtains in my dining room and if so what color. I havent started decorating yet. My dining room is connected to my kitchen (open concept kind of hihi) my kitchen is painted palladian blue. I was wondering if I should bring a little of that blue as an accent in my dining room maybe as curtains. thanks guys:-)

Flipping is buying, fixing and trying to sell for a profit, you are renovating or remodeling. It looks beautiful, btw. Since you haven't started decorating I would consider holding off on curtains until other decorating decisions have been made.

I don't think curtains are necessary for a flip. You get some nice light through the window.

You're flipping? Do not spend one more dime than you have to in order to attract a buyer. The shades you have now are more than adequate--let the curtains be the next guy's dilemma.

Yes panels in that blue would work take to ceiling.

Yes blue or silver stationary panels would be great there. You can save money by just leaving them on the outsides of the window frames so they look like they could close but don't. Agree with Nancy that you should hang the rod as close to the ceiling as possible. Floor length. Enjoy your new home!

I could see side panels ceiling to floor (dont overstate them with swagging/valances). subtle blue from the kitchen sounds nice.

That room definitely needs color. The wallpaper is detrimental, and the "chandelier" is very dated. I'd riff off the "traditional" qualities that old homes have, and find something more fun for the walls. Ch out Andrew Martin wallpapers, online.
Since nice chandeliers are pretty spendy, look for something with color, but a more traditional shape.
