Is that a television over the fireplace?

We're looking for ways to "camouflage" a TV over a fireplace. If this is a TV, it's done in a very tasteful way.

It appears the TV is built into a niche, it is not "hidden".

That is indeed very tasteful as you said, however when the television is turned off it may take away from the ambiance and appear as a "black hole" in the room.

In terms of "camouflaging" your TV like you said I would recommend using a piece of art to cover it. Check out my Houzz for some examples
