Updating my kitchen, cabinets r staying the same, upgrading to granite and with my family rm being traditional I've chosen similar to existing counter but my aim is to make the space more contemporary .. I would like to extend counter by about 1-1.5 feet.. My husband wants a bar but I would like it to be just extended but not sure how that would look?? Also contractor has suggested ledger stone along bottom of counter. As well I warn pendent sand new fixture over table which will change to square counter height with chairs that can fit at both counter and table.We r doing a built in with granite over where existing china cabinet is and creating a bar/cabinet area. Here's what I've chosen so far but open to suggestions.
