Where did you purchases the white floating shelves? How thick are they?

Hafele offers a floating shelf system. The shelves need to be speciaily constructed to meet the rods installed in the wall. It's complicated but very do-able.

I couldn't find any to purchase that were durable enough so we have our kitchen installer build them for us. They are almost 2.5" thick.
