I want to tiles my floors and I am wondering if I should use the same tile through the entire house?

Are you putting tile in the kitchen because of wear and tear on the wood floor?
Normally I would recommend keeping the same floor material throughout the first floor but, without a floor plan or photos of the rest of the house it's difficult to know. Tile is super durable, good for wet, or damp locations but can lack warmth in a whole house depending on the type you choose. More info would help.

If you like the wood look but are concerned about maintenance and aging there are a lot of porcelain tiles made to look like wood. The benefit is that they are lower maintenance, you do not have to seal or stain them, and will last forever. Plus, nothing you spill on the tile will change its coloring. Take a look...

Personally, I get bored of seeing the same thing in every room. I prefer to change it up but use elements from one room to the next to maintain a sense of continuity.

If that's the look and feel you desire then by all means. Just know that tile can be very cold and you may want to heat some areas of it, depending on the climate you live in. We have clients that have done this in the main living spaces but may use carpets in the bedrooms.
