Is eucalyptus considered a hard wood and is it as durable as other wood floor options?

This is an interesting question. According to what I have heard, eucalyptus can be as hard as red oak, but I have never actually used it or seen it used.

I had heard that it is difficult to get eucalyptus to stay straight and not warp............

I would love to hear from someone out there who has used it.

It is definitely hard to find information on eucalyptus--I would love to hear from people that have actually used it too
