Nothing wrong with either version, but given that you have already tiled the wall with your plan in mind I would certainly not be undoing tiles just to tile the rest of the wall. I would say you are just fine the way you are headed.

wait…. are you talking about doing a trim of bullnose all around the perimeter on the outside of the 1/2 walls? If that is the case then no I do not love that idea, but that is a personal preference. I would have some granite or quartz material cut to be the flat surfaces on top of the walls, sides of the door opening, and top of the curb. It is the easiest way to keep those surfaces clean and looking good.

Unfortunately I don't have any granite for the tops. I've only got tile.
But I'm thinking I don't like the idea of tile all the way down that outside wall. I don't think it's needed.

I usually just go to a couple of the local granite fabricators and find a granite or quartz that I like in their off cut / scrap piles. I give them the measurements and they cut & polish them for a much cheaper price because I am choosing from their scraps.

We tiled inside and top of shower only and we have no glass. It has never gotten wet. Beadboard is on outside of shower.
