I'm not sure what exactly you are looking for, but I think you should have a look at Fired Earth tiles - they have some interesting colours and patterns. http://www.firedearth.com/tiles
Also, rustic slate could be a good choice too.

Coming up with "original style" but may not be suitable for kitchen floors

Hi Vera,

Have a look at this photo, we have this tile available its lovely and can be combined with the matching plain grey tile to soften it a bit. The photo is the brown/sepia option but it comes in a very pretty pale blue and yellow. It's not on our website so I'll try and find a photo to send you tomorrow. The tile is porcelain and therefore very durable and doesn't require sealing. We also sell Original Style tiles but they do require sealing.
