I hate my kitchen

Painting out the cabinets is not an option. You will see the (unfinished living room) who is the style I am going doesn't match the kitchen. There is also the large empty corner in the kitchen.
Should I put curtains around the sliders?
I am thinking of a white quartz counter and more neutral elegant stools.

I should mention mention that not all of my wall accessories have been hung in the livingroom.

I think a more neutral backsplash and countertops would easily give you the look you are going for. It's just too many colours right now.

Funnily enough if you look at the thread below this one the glass subway tile backsplash and siltstone countertops the person suggested would tie into your living room really well!

Sand those cabinets to knock down the color a bit and put a grey glaze over them, for a distressed look. Keep the stainless and black appliance theme. White counters will look great against the adjacent room. Make sure they overhang 12" where you want seating. Find comfy stools.

I can't tell what the flooring is in the kitchen, but pull it out and either continue the hardwood, or tile the kitchen. Large tiles, 18x18 minimum, and lay them orthogonally so a whole tile meets the hardwood.

I'm stuck on the corner. A 3-piece rock band would fit there, if you're inclined to such things.

I think you should start with replacing counter top, backsplash and chairs. Since you have very small kitchen you need to go with lighter colors.

Maybe pull one accent color through the kitchen and living room (love that green bowl) to kinda unite the two rooms.... Would a really small dinette table fit in the corner or against the wall.....?

Some nice suggestions above. Will add that a small touch of red/brown added to LR accessories will help tie the palettes together. A couple shades for consideration:

Hi, i would suggest changing your countertop to a light shade like a carrara marble. Get more modern bar chairs. Changing the lighting fixture in the kitchen could make your space look brighter. Consider adding some under cabinet lighting too. This would brighten up your kitchen as well. Good Luck!
