Wall Oven Next To Fridge or Not To Wall Oven Next To Fridge

Originally, I was placing a Pantry cabinet next to the fridge to separate the wall oven and the fridge. But, I am thinking I might get better clearance in front of the oven if it was next to the fridge. From what I understand, there shouldn't really be an issue with the heat from the oven affecting the refrigerator temperature because they are much better insulated now.

Can anyone confirm this is true and anyone have any issues that have done this?

Have you selected your fridge yet? Be sure to do this (and all other appliances) before you finalize layout and purchase cabinets. Many refrigerators now have specific side clearance requirements, to allow sufficient space to open the door, get at things, and open/remove the veggie bin. We didn't do that once, and always had to clean the veggie bin while still inside the fridge - not an easy thing!
In the event that the fridge needs more than a few inches clearance, you could swap the locations of fridge and oven, or slide oven and fridge left and put the pantry cabinet in the corner.

deciding on appliances will also help determine how far away they need to be from each other, and how large a cabinet you will need for the ovens.

There is no issue with putting the ovens next to the fridge. Like you said, they are much better insulated. (Although I don't know dimensions) It also is better for your design to have it next to the fridge. The space between the island and the ovens would be super close when you have the oven doors open. By having them more to the right of the island that doesn't seem to be a conflict.

I am going to have my oven next to my fridge too but my fridge will be in a built-in unit. My designer said it was no problem. Is your fridge definitely going to be white or is that just the pic? IMO it would match better if it were stainless steel to match the oven or built-in to match the cabinets.

@Ann Fullenkamp There is almost 4' of clearance between the island and the wall oven cabinet, so there is space, but I like just having 0 obstruction, hence the move next to the fridge.
@Rachelle Plantagenet, the fridge is stainless steel, the program I used, didn't give me an option for color ;) The oven will have 2 panels between it and the fridge, so I am guessing that should definitely cover whatever heat the oven does give off.

Thank you @annmarie2, all the appliances have been purchased. There is clearance for the fridge to accommodate the cabinets/oven next to it. And in fact the fridge ends up sticking out from the cabinets about 2 inches (we didn't go with custom cabinets so we will just have to live with it).

I am in the same boat trying to decide if the double oven next to the fridge makes both design sense and user-friendly sense. Any photos of anyone with similar set up would be so appreciated! Thank you!
