It is hanging from. 3ft rod. Ceiling is 20 ft. It only came with three feet!

well, you cant lower it the cord is cut to length. the light looks good from this angle! i may have hung it lower by 12 inches but it looks good.if you went any lower it may also have been right in your eyes coming down the stairs. so I like it...i liked it the whole time lol. do you have a dimmer installed?
