Hello. I am new to Houzz and find that the questions and suggestions I've read so far are extremely helpful and inspiring. I recently moved from my basement apartment (mostly Ikea furniture to make storage space in every corner) to the first floor, which has a bigger DR and LV areas. I have put in a lot of work into this apartment as it was rented for many years and tenants are not always caring for the space they rent. So far this is the space I have (see pic). I always wanted to have a bench by the window for reading. I think it can also be used for extra seating when guests arrive. I would like to have an buttefly leaf table, but I don't know if I should have an oval or rectangular shape. I also thought of putting a settee under that big painting and just two chairs accross from it. Any suggestions welcome!
