Can I put a touch of different style in my bedroom from rest of home?

My decor style is mainly modern but with a bit of organic. Palette is blues and greens in different tones with lots of white. But when it comes to my bedroom I really want to create a 'dreamy' ethereal feel and so want to use a few 'shabby chic & curated 'rustic' accents. Is that ok?

My philosophy, especially when it comes to your bedroom is that it's YOUR house, and you can do whatever you want. The only people who have to like how it looks is you and your significant other.

well my space is all chaos at the moment - leading up to the installation of cork floors. I feel that way too - it IS MY home - but wasn't sure if it would be in congruent...there's one or two 'purists' in my family. Probably it would be more accurate to say my style is a bit eclectic.
Thanks for the feedback. Pictures to come later. Also trying to choose paint color for that room - living with fav 2 on wall until I do.
