Is it OK to not have the kitchen sink centered over the window?

It's absolutely okay. The sink needs to go where it works for you. It's long been put by a window because tasks at the sink are generally boring or yucky, so the window is a pleasant diversion!

I agree with Anne! If you look closely the sink in this kitchen is not centered on the window. The window locations in this project were driven more by the exterior composition.
