The deck looks somewhat boring, could use a today´s update - take of the Balustrade perhaps and put glas, if needed or aluminium - though don´t see much detail really - I love the garden though, you could place a seating area close to this rounds set up or even set up a Pavillon.
It looks like it has been set up carefully and does create a minimum level of maintenance - please keep this in mind before changing.

For the lawn area. It is simple and beautiful as is.

It is but there are neighbors on either side, both with walk outs so they have privacy below we are more on a hill and require a bit more privacy i am thinking gazebo, perhaps a nicer deck that has a large fireplace 'at the end' that looks out onto yard? I don't know not sure but certainly areas where i can go read, listen to birds, and not feel on display.

Put in a row of cedar trees or juniper bushes as they're relatively fast growing, and provide a nice privacy hedge. My in-laws have almost an acre in town, and had to do that when the neighbor lady's property was sold for townhouses as they could look into their yard from the second story. It was amazing how quickly they provided a lot of privacy.

Also, put a covering over your deck with some high railings to give some privacy. The people we bought our house from built a deck and did that with about an 8' railing with lattice to provide more privacy. We're hoping to replace the lattice with something more modern in the years to come, but for now, it works.

A lot depends on how much you are able to spend....
