Look at a sunrise or a sunset and draw inspiration. Also, look at historical southwestern homes online.

Are you relocating to a southwest area? Or, are you wanting to do a southwest theme elsewhere. I ask because the southwest natural light has a very different affect on colors than natural light elsewhere in the US. They are very vibrant and clean. The further away from the sun, the more "drab" the colors become.

As a starting point, look at the traditional Mexican Talavera pottery. The combination of colors is extraordinary and it should help to get your creative juices flowing.

Most of the Santa Fe colors are really a "Navaho White"......you could also use a slight peachy color.........
