Stairway to nowhere

Client has a ranch house with a staircase that used to lead to a walk up attic. Now there is a full second floor above and it's not used. Staircase has 5 or 6 steps up then it's walled off.

Dilemma....need to make the best use of the space for pantry (food) storage as well as some pots and pans. Removing the stairs is not an option. I was thinking of Rev-a-shelf products or similar pull out units. Thanks in advance! No picture, sorry.

I'll post a pic on Tuesday. There's another staircase below that goes to the basement.

If the stairs is part of the kitchen, then perhaps have the storage designed to be more integrated.

A bit of a floor plan would be helpful. Is there access from either side? How much room is in front?

hahaha.....that reminds me of my kitchen stairs that lead to landing, then second floor!
I actually do set things on those stairs since my stove is right next to them! (old pic, but steps haven't changed!)

Maybe you can make shelves from the second step below walled area. Or even turn the whole area into shelves...the level of each step.

Add drawers on full extension slides. They are available in long lengths. Take out the door frame and make it look like a cabinet.
