Is it OK to center the sink under the 1st of 3 equal size windows?
I have a similar L shape layout with 3 equail windows on one wall. The sink will be centered under the first window to keep the work triangle at 23' the other wall will have the range & fridge. Is it necessary to have the sink under the middle window? If I center the sink under the middle window it enlarges my triangle to 30'.

Jeff Kern I think I understand the jist of your question, so hopefully this will make sense: If your only concern is growing the work triangle to 30', then I wouldn't let that stop you from centering the sink under the middle window. If it is a 'balance' issue in the room, then I might reconsider that statement. The 'work triangle' for me, is merely a guideline and not a firm rule. If it means the difference between 'balancing' out the design and taking a few more steps when cooking, or having an 'un-balanced' room that you have to stare at every day, then I'd take the aesthetic eye-pleasing design and burn a few more calories while cooking!

Marie Meko, Allied ASID I agree with J. Symmetry is far more pleasing to eye and I think you would regret not looking out the center of the window.

RJL Designs-LLC If it is three divided glass windows like this Kitchen, then it would be best to be centered. If it was one large piece of glass then you could be off-center and be ok.
