Kitchen Window Blinds
September 4, 2014 in Design Dilemma
I need ideas on window blinds that would look good in this kitchen space. I took down the 1980's wallpaper and painted the walls ivory and the cabinets and the trim white. Now the old beige blinds just look dirty. I love the designer Roman and cellular shades but don't want to break the bank. The red rug is a cheapie and could be replaced.

what about the thicker 2" slat vinyl or wood blinds?

Blinds will give it a casual feel and also provide privacy and light control. Drapes will dress up the area and can be used with the blinds, too.

I think it would be nice to add a bit of drama to that wall which you can do inexpensively with dark wood slat blinds and I do mean dark. Go with something as dark as your table and chairs. This will look fantastic and tie the room together beautifully.
Good luck

Thanks for the advice. I honestly never thought about dark wood, but I think that sounds striking. My husband is going to lower the light fixture. We have our flooring and countertops ordered. I can't wait to finish the kitchen facelift.
