First off, I tend to always use smaller mosaic tiles for shower floors to augment the non-slip features of a wet floor. The tile here, from Walker Zanger “Metaltech” Titanium Natrl--mosaics, and though I don't have the size of the pieces, they come in an interlocking running bond brick pattern, with a grid on the back. I want to say they were about 5" long x 3/4" high.

For the wing wall of the shower shown here, the client and I decided to take some of these mosaic tiles off the grid backing and stack them horizontally, instead of just wrapping the wall with the larger tiles. I like the effect and I hope you do, too! Black Italian slate tops the threshold of the shower, the tub deck, window sills and vanities.
