I'd probably choose a plain soft green close to the green in the chair.

I like the idea of a darker taupe or even a lighter coral color....as it looks like that color could be in the patterned sofa???

groveraxle -can you show me these two rugs please? Please feel free to let me know if they are appropriate choices. I am having trouble with coordinating a patterned or floral rug with my furniture's fabric. I would love to do a pattern but feel a solid is so much safer. Thank You.

How close is the colour in the rug to your sofa and print chair and does the print compete with your chair?

The sofa is a taupe color-not as dark as it looks in the photo. the floral has a cranberryish color in the large flower. I don't know how to determine if the prints compete with each other.

The first floral rug is a maybe. The other two, IMO, are a definite no.

found this on Joss & Main this morning and thought of your post last night. i like that the darker color compliments your darker sofa, while the lighter color addresses the color in your chair. I also like the angular pattern as i think that allows the floral design in the chair to stand out. good luck.

I don't want to complicate things but this rug has a mix of green and copper and it could suit your space and give the coverage you're looking for plus it will disguise a lot of mishaps:-)
