I just had our red oak floors refinished with jacobean/walnut mixture and Swedish satin finish. It came out a bit more warm than I had anticipated (I was hoping for a more cool brown; see attached pictures). That said, I am starting from square one again on trim and paint color. We will soon be installing all new trim and doors throughout the house as well as a creamy white carpet called cake batter in the living area. Our new sofa is a gray brown (see attached picture). I am having a difficult time tying the carpet, floors and sofa together. I need suggestions on trim and wall color asap. Any suggestions? Please reference colors offered in Benjamin Moore (all I will use to paint these days). Thanks!!
