I would consider a long narrow shelf over a buffet in the dining area or in the family room at Christmas. Do you have deep windowsills that could be utilized during the holidays? How about separating the pieces and create smaller vignettes around your home?

In a previous house I had a bay window with a window seat that I outfitted with a piece of plywood with attached legs. In another house I split it up onto various existing tables, even the coffee table. In the current house I set it up on the family room buffet.
