Depends on how much you like cleaning ....black shows more than white....it shows greasy marks, spills , fingerprints etc with knobs, cant imagine what no pulls would look like from a cleaning point of view. Undercabinet lighting is always nice task lighting. Especially since you want to go dark, lighting will be essential.

There are "push" type hinges that open with a slight touch. I would use a nice hardware.

You can order some cabinets with "finger pulls" but you'll have more finger prints on them.

I agree with Carol, however; this is your kitchen and you are the boss...so whatever you want you should get...but I think you should consider the undercabinet lights and some kind of pull...
