We are looking at these knobs for our vanity.

Are they easy to clean, so they sparkle, or are they likely to get a cloudy look about them?

Actual glass (not acrylic) knobs stay sparkly forever. Very easy to keep clean, since they are non-porous.

And here is my favorite place to get them, which may be where you found this picture: http://www.rejuvenation.com/catalog/categories/hardware-house-parts/cabinet-hardware/cabinet-knobs

Someone told me to get crystal, not glass. What is the difference and where can I find crystal? Thanks.

@bathdilemma, the addition of lead oxide changes regular glass to crystal and improves the clarity. Regular glass tends to have greenish or yellow tinge, whereas crystal is, well, crystal clear.

I don't know how it will matter on a drawer knob, unless it is heavily faceted, where crystal really shines, literally.

Having done a quick online search for "crystal knob pulls", it would appear that most folks use the words glass and crystal synonymously, but they are not. And, frankly, I am not impressed by the multi-faceted knobs that probably really are crystal.

As always, I would recommend going with whichever knob or pull has the best proportion and fit for the project. Like in lighting, good quality matters, and pricing is commensurate with quality, usually.

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I have noticed glass and crystal are frequently used interchangeably so that caused my confusion. I will be using these in my elegant master bathroom renovation which will have lots of light including newly added skylight so would really love to go with crystal. I will have two cabinets with drawers and door, a knee drawer in the vanity, and a linen cabinet with two doors. Any suggestions on where to find my crystal knobs?

These are probably actually crystal (Van Dyke's is pretty reputable) : http://www.vandykes.com/octagon-crystal-knob/p/207662/

Here are a few that also appear to be actual crystal, but I don't know anything about the company: http://www.myknobs.com/calcryscrysk.html . The round ones give me a seventies eye twitch, but the square, hex and octagon styles look nice.

For other great faceted pulls, which are glass, but still pretty, check these out: http://store.restoration.com/Cabinet+and+Furniture/Glass.html

Thanks so much for sending these links! I did find myknobs.com the other day but have never heard of this company. I checked the other two links you listed and the knobs on these sites are exactly what I am looking for. Time to order - cabinets were just delivered today!

And yes - I thought the same thing when i saw the round ones!
