Roof for patio, what style and material?

Our home is a stone, 1932 English Tudor. Our back patio is enclosed on
one side with cut stone, Right now we have a heavy fabric canopy that
is put up each spring and taken down in the fall. I would like a permanent roof. Any ideas of what to use. The roof on the house is
tile. I would like something other than using costly tile.
Thank you for reporting this. Undo
Not sure it there would be any cost savings, but you might consider a copper roof. The oxidized patina would be in keeping with the style of your Tudor.
