Are the beams faux beams?if not, do you have any suggestions on how to locate beams this size?

Yes, they are "wrapped beams".

You have to be very careful about getting faux beams, some people do an awesome job using wood, some make substandard beams with very visible seams. At http://woodlandbeam.com/box-beams we spent a very long time and a decent amount of wood and money to get the faux beam look perfected -
