gryphonisle I'd choose Buckhead, and Peachtree Heights, but I wouldn't commit until I could see the house and its setting, and how the porch relates. None of them, by the way, are particularly evocative of the South, suggest any of its immense heat and humidity, biting bugs, or scents; or what it's like when it's pouring down rain---which is something I'd build a porch for, since we never get any, here ("Hey, a rain drop just fell in Noe Valley---you can see it on Facebook!"). Of the two I liked, only Peachtree Heights suggests anything of the grandeur of the Old South, but the room could just as easily be the Buchanan residence on that hot day in West Egg, and that's 1920s New York.

I will truly feel like a grownup when I finally have a house with a huge porch, but I agree...we are pretty spoiled out in the Bay Area when it comes to any actual "need" for a porch.
Marie Meko, Allied ASID It is difficult because they all so different in size and style of entertaining. I voted for Peachtree Heights because I love the Atlanta furniture and Antique Market and have admired these charming homes . I would like to sip my sweet tea on that cozy porch.
Anita Roll Murals Peachtree Heights and Buckhead are my picks. Love the beams, fireplace and simple color scheme of Buckhead and Peachtree Heights has wonderful details with the arched doorway and diamond pattern in the windows. This one really feels southern to me and could definitely see sipping tea here.
feeny I had a hard time choosing between Peachtree (for the architectural details and atmosphere), Buckhead (for the beamed ceiling, fireplace, chandelier and sofa) and Northway (for the furniture and arches). Can I have all of them?
Barnhart Gallery Northway -- it's spacious, the brickwork is wonderful, and it seems to have a skylight that shoos away the shadows. Perfect backdrop for a colorful par-tay.
inkwitch The Peachtree isn't really a porch, but it is gorgeous. I can picture long skirts, cool drinks, slow sunsets. Elegance, however, will not prevent mosquitos and other bugs native to Atlanta!
zidog I voted buckhead hands down. I love the neutral colored large chevron rug, the simple and comfortable furniture, the neutral colors with white, I love the candle light fixture, and the antlers over the fireplace, the fireplace is wonderful for a porch, I love the rustic beams and it seems like it might have a nice view as well, and lets lots of light in. Dream porch. Perfect for solo napping/book reading/tea sipping but also for small social gathering or even a game of scrabble or chess. Hell yeah.
eastcoastfocus All have a welcoming atmosphere, but I choose the 'Atlanta Porch - Renewal Design-Build' one because I still prefer outdoor spaces that do not mimic indoor rooms.
Diann I picked Peach tree gave me a very welcome come sit and chat with me feeling . I also loved the rustic Lake house as well ,but being a Fl girl for 15 years now and knowing the critters flying or crawling around I would have to have screen.. Is a peaceful lovely outdoor space. The Buck head although nicely furnished would not be a place for grand kids to come visit.. It gave me a chill really. Atlanta porch looked very family friendly as well lots of room to entertain. North way I liked but would not pick it as favorite. Although I would not turn it down lol. Screen Porch had the room but was not crazy about the way it was decorated.
Madison Modern Home My style preferences lean most toward Buckhead Residence - Yvonne McFadden LLC because of its eclectic feel, and architectural excitement (and I looooove the lounge chairs) -- Now, if I could only get past the fact that those two trees on the hearth look like Christmas trees to me...
Simply Modern Decor My first choice would be the Buckhead Residence with no doubt. Great use of light and dark contrast to the perfection. Great design sense and practical since it looks as if it can be easily screened in to keep out uninvited guests like mosquitos and flies. Nothway is my 2nd choice. Very nicely done. Peachtree Heights seems nice and cozy however I don't care for the bench seat as coffee table but I guess it works for the tight narrow space. I like the Rustic Lake House but it feels too exposed to outdoors to get good use without struggling with what nature brings into that space to maintain.
cyclee Strangely, by looking at these photos I realized I'm not an outdoorsy person. If I have to choose a spot to sip my tea, I can see myself feeling rather comfortable in either Peachtree Heights or Buckhead Residence, where I'd find most relaxing.
Mona Ives I voted Buckhead because I like it best - it looks more like an interior though and maybe that's why I like it or maybe because of the use of warm colors instead of cooler ones. In any case, I'd have picked Northway for the layout except for my growing aversion to all grey/white combo designs with no other colors.
