What color are the floors, stair treads and railing? My husband wants to use rod iron balusters but I think they are too expensive and trendy. The white balusters are classic What do you think?

In this case the flooring is stained a dark walnut color. We then stained the stair treads and railing slightly darker so they would have a little contrast against the floor. The style of stair that you go with should be based not only on personal style, but also on the aesthetic of your home. Wrought iron and painted balusters are both great looks & can both provide a timeless feel. We don't see iron as being trendy, but it needs to fit the style of your home. The best place to start is at your stair fabricator's shop. They will be able to show you different components that they offer. Good luck with your project!
