Bathroom remodel - soapstone or polished granite?

We are remodeling our 20 year old bathroom, getting rid of the 1990's seashell marble sinks finally! We are thinking of selling our home in the next year, so we are doing a lot of the work ourselves and trying not to spend a fortune on materials. My countertop fabricator has a remnant of polished absolute black granite and another of soapstone. I am torn between which one to use. I know the polished look is becoming dated, but the soapstone is a little trendy. I am trying to appeal to a neutral buyer, but love the look of soapstone. I'm also afraid of scaring off a buyer with the maintenance of soapstone. The bathroom will be 12x24 slate gray porcelain floor tile with gray glass 4x16 subway tile. Which would you choose?
