Ah, not yet! Kitchen not in place until end of jan but have to paint first! The kitchen cupboards are dark denim type blue and the room is long with a window at the end furthest from the kitchen. Its a holiday apartment in the South of France and the room will be kitchen, dinning area and living room. I'll take a photo of the room as it is and pop that on later. Thanks.

Your best bet is to get as many paint swatches as you can in colors you think might work, and go through them. If you have the cabinets nearby, be sure to see if you like the color with them. One color that might look nice with demin blue is a soft butter yellow.

Another thing you could do is go to Behr's site [behr.com] and go through colors. Choose one, click on it and you'll get the room painter program where it says 'visualize color in a room.' You can apply color to various rooms including kitchens where you can paint your cabinets denim blue, and then apply various colors to see what you think. I've used their program extensively when I needed to find a color for a room.
