Hire an electrican.

Make sure you turn off the breaker to that socket. Make sure you can identify "ground wire" (almost alwasy "green" colour), hot (black for "death") and neutral (often times white). Sometimes the "ground" and "neutral" are combined in 1 (no longer code in most areas).

Watch some youtube videos to get the hang of it. If in doubt, call a friend who has done this before (and is still alive).

"Ground wire" (called a grounding conductor) (almost always bare copper unless it has a green patina from being in a wet environment)

Hot (often red, especially where a switch is involved) (fixture wires are often not color coded) ( the white wire may be HOT in a junction box in may circumstances, especially if the field applied markings have been pulled off by someone with little experience)

Neutral (in many light fixtures, the neutral is the same color as the hot wire, but identified by either raised ribs on the neutral side of the cord, or a thin white line)

The "neutral" IS a "grounded conductor"....but, don't confuse it with a grounding conductor.

Most double insulated and low voltage fixtures do not require a separate grounding wire.
