Need help with Living Room and Dining Room

Hi, I need to replace my pink curtains. I was wondering what colours i should you to replace it that goes well with the beige leather chair, black TV set, black dining set and sour dough painted walls. I am willing to replace the curtains and the mat. Also I was thinking of replacing the brown side tables and coffee table with something black. Really appreciate any feedback. By the way, i do like faux silk curtains.

I'm going to recommend crisp off white/cream curtain panels hung on rods that go all the way to the ceiling.

The paint color looks like it has a salmon tinge to it (although that could be from the pink curtains) and the off-white will mediate that somewhat.

For the area rug, a grey and off-white pattern might work for you. I think either of the below would pair nicely with the off white curtains, black tables and beige sofa.

Down the road you may want to look into swapping out the light fixtures for something with a little more presence.

You might consider a print fabric for the curtains. I found some great horizontal striped sheers at K-Mart. They have the tan and black stripes with a little shine to them. I also like the idea of the curtains going all the way to the ceiling. A geometric patterned rug with black and another color may work. Use the third color from the rug for accents in the room like pillows and accessories.

Thanks you for the suggestions. The idea of the curtain going all the way to the ceiling is awesome. Should I use the one long rod to cover both windows which are on the same wall? Great eagle eye spotting on the lights, I was intending to change them too. That's a great idea about getting a third colour from the rug for accents.

I like the softer neutral looks suggested by Manon, Can't really tell what your side table looks like, but it's best to have no more than 3 dominate colors in a room in order to create a theme.

Hi, jksp. In your case I think I would go for two rods for each window - similar to how you have it now. For the rods, you could think about a slim black wrought iron. It would look sharp:
