Patio & Built-in Grill Design Help

Hello, hoping you all can help with a design dilemma. Our patio is a little too small and we are interested transforming it to a more useful space. I have 2 dilemma's: 1. not sure of a good functional design 2. limited budget.

We definitely want a fire pit and a built-in grill. Pavers are preferred if the budget allows along with a seating wall. As you can see from the pictures, our yard does slope a bit.

Can anyone offer ideas or possibly sketches? I am able to do some of the labor but would need someone to grade and prepare the area. If anyone has any suggestions of good hardscape laborers in our area (Plainfield, IL) please also let me know.

Lastly, please let me know what I should expect to pay to have said project done and ways to keep the project around $4-5k.

Gosh not much privacy, I would be planting some trees or some sort of screening

Patio you have there already looks to small for size of house, with plantings, pergola etc will look better

What jumps at me is that there is no landing at the top of the steps to the house. This makes for a terrible juggling act bringing things in and out of the home. I suggest pulling the stairs out and creating a deck that follows the lines of the doored area. The deck should be large enough to hold a family sized patio set and the grill. I suspect you would be covering about 1/2 to 3/4 of the slab to accommodate this. We use our grill almost year round and often take the grilled food and eat indoors. Don't make it a chore to get to the grill.

I would also look into doing a stamped concrete design on the portion of the slab you do not cover in the decking and enlarging the area in a curved formation. This area should also be able to contain a patio table area for larger gatherings.
