Exterior House Color

The previous owner painted part of the house gray with orange (colors I'm not fond of) shutters and back door--paint which is now peeling along with the old white paint. What color should I paint the house? It is a small house and my taste tends toward dark, vibrant colors which I fear will make the house look even smaller. Any ideas?

I think picking a darker gray with red accents would look great on the house.

I'm not sure how the brick would fit with the above application, however.

I actually kind of like the idea of making the house appear smaller and tucked into the greenery. It's very charming as-is!

Did you decide on a color since posting?
