what are the names of these two plants. there are beautiful. and do you get it to layer like that?

They look like pachysandra and boxwood - both compact growers

Oh, my - lucky you! I live in Ohio - and they do just fine. Pachysandra does well in low light or shade and boxwood goes anywhere. Check w/ your local greenhouse or online for specific growing habits. Good Luck!

elainejk is correct. Pachysnadra at the edge of the turf, Buxus sempervirens 'Green Mountain' (Boxwood) to the back. Happy gardening.

Will they do well in a hotter, more humid climate? I live in Memphis, TN. It's a great look.
