Green Mountain Custom Butcher Block
We build custom butcher block counter tops and this top looks like Eastern Maple. It could also be Big Leaf Maple (native to the Northwest) which is a bit warmer than Eastern Maple.

Thanks so much - I did use an eastern maple for my counter top and it looks beautiful, just like this one!

It is hard to know for sure how this was finished. We offer two options- Natural Oil or SatinSeal. Natural Oil requires more maintenance but is safe for chopping. SatinSeal is waterproof and is food safe but you wouldn't want to chop on it. Here's a link to a more detailed explanation. http://www.greenmtwood.com/finish-options.html
