This appears to be "Blue Stone" which is a sandstone quarried in Pennsylvania and New York state.

Yes, it is Pennsylvania Bluestone, 1 1/2" thick, honed.

Does it need to be sealed? Any maintenance issues?

I would always suggest sealing a stone counter, especially if it is honed. Best to have it tended to every couple of years.

Hi Katerina. Can you tell me your source for the Bluestone? I am in PA so hopefully I can find similar locally but would love a source to reference in my search. Look for flat color in a medium to dark gray. thanks.

I have a bluestone tabletop. Can I have your recommendations on specific sealant products as well as cleaning proucts. If you had it professionally sealed, is there anything I need to request for the sealer? Thank you!
