momof5x I am into writing and have to have a well equipped writing desk, and a computer area, each small area has a different layout. I picked the one close to the bed but I also like the kitchen one. I have both, I have a small writing area in kitchen an done in my room where it is quieter.Since I am moving soon I am looking at specific furniture with curved legs for writing table and solid wood console table for computer area. Still have yet to make a decision but I do like pic 2 for the bulletin board and I like the spacious table in kitchen.
Wannemacher Designs I work out of my home and get board being in the same spot. I change my "desk" almost every week! Right now it's the dining table, but my dogs do not approve so I'm guessing it's the sofa next:)
Paradise Restored Landscaping & Exterior Design My grand-kids do their homework in my office/guest room - away from the throng - however, many times they choose the living room rug or the kitchen/dining counter -
periwinkle04 When your kids are at near you, there's just waaaay too much tendency to "help" them. Let them learn resourcefulness by doing it in their own rooms, and only coming to you for help when they really, really can't figure it out for themselves. Kids learn confidence in their own abilities when they solve problems themselves. I've seen so many friends become helicopter parents and their kids become helpless, and it starts by having them close by doing homework.
Gloria Mutahanamilwa I have got an home office at the bedroom corner. A swivel chair turning between the computer desk and shelf which can also be used as a writing desk .
katerush We used the dining room and just kept homework suff there. We eat at a table in the kitchen, so this was a way to actually use the dining room.
When I was a kid I did homework on a TV tray in my room. Ahhhh....the 70's!
