Is the kitchen remodel already completed and all that's left is the walls? Or is the remodel still underway? If the latter, let me suggest waiting to choose the wall color until everything else is installed. It will give you a better sense of the effect of the whole, the amount of light, the shades of the counters, etc. We ended up choosing a wall color based on one of the shades of veining in our soapstone counter. I wouldn't have been able to do that before they were installed.

If, OTOH, the remodel is finished, then it would indeed be a good idea to post a picture so people can give you more informed advice.

What you described seem neutral enough that any sort of color you add could work.
