Can you tell me about the mantle ? It's beautiful !

The mantel and legs are made from Old-Growth Redwood. It wasn't treated or sealed. The wood was originally part of a water tank in the hills above San Rafael, CA. It probably dates back to beginning of the 20th century.

That is a beautiful combination. How would one go about acquiring some old wood like that? Especially if one were down in San Diego?
