What is the island countertop made of? Is it marble?
August 29, 2012 in Photo Questions
I have been told by salespeople that marble should not be used in kitchen prep areas because it is porous and will stain, yet, I see it used all over your site. Please comment.

This is quartzite. We don't recommend marble in kitchen. It stains very easily.

Harry, what is the name or color of the quartz. Another question, since the glass tile has an iridescent blue sheen would that go with any decor during the holidays seasons because I would be stuck with a blue sheen?

Granite Grannies
That's White Princess Quartzite (a natural stone not to be confused with man made quartz). Quartzite is harder than granite and is very hard to stain.
