I'd use scrap pieces and take the pieces off that to fill in the ends. This gives you less chance of messing up a full sheet as well as easing the cut edge to match the other pieces in the sheet.

Schluter edging is also option to what Eden Mosaic Tile said - it is usually a cove finishing moulding that is available at most tile suppliers and comes in a variety of colours from factory finished paint to metals.

Schluter edging is normally found at any big box hardware store. You should be able to find it in Ireland. You could also contact the company that makes them if you do not find it (www.schluter.com).

Schluter is a European headquartered business so you should not have any trouble finding their products in Ireland.
