Game table
September 12, 2012 in Design Dilemma
I want to add a game table mainly for playing bridge in my family room. I have a black base now. I want to add a round (ideally) top. I do not want wood. Any suggestions as to the type of surface I could use?

How about a glass top? Seems like a pretty low maintenance option. What does the base look like? Any pics?

Does the top of the base have a way of attaching to the top you're looking for? Like holes for screws? I know you don't want wood, but that's the best way to go for securing the two pieces together. If you're going to use the table for bridge, why not get a round piece of plywood and cover the whole thing in green felt? The felt will make for a soft surface for your bridge game, and also absorb condensation if you are drinking cold drinks at the table.
