Need help with wood panelled hall
jillpltSeptember 12, 2012
1950s home, with decent width hall, but it's wood panelled in an oak colour - whole hall looks too dark. It's not a thin veneer, so shall we paint?

HI --- I think it would be better to remove it . If done carefully and if it is good wood and worth it , maybe it can be reused else where . But better to drywall and paint. Fresh start. You could just paint BUT do you still want all the lines ? Removing also gives you the chance to up-grade the electrical and that's important because of the age of the house , right ?
