Need to choose exterior colors for new home!

My husband and I are trying to choose unique, but tasteful exterior colors for our ranch - stucco style home. The house is not yet complete, but will look nearly identical to the attached photo (another home in the neighborhood).

The houses in the neighborhood are quite neutral colors commonly seen on stucco style homes - beige, gold, yellow, cream. However, we would like to achieve a color scheme that that is a little more unique and interesting, but tasteful. I really admire the unique color patterns of arts and crafts houses. We are currently considering a "terracotta" color ("timeworn terracotta" by Kelly-Moore). What trim/accent colors would best compliment this color and make it pop? What about a different color for the dormer? Would another house color be more suitable?

Any and all feedback is welcome!

Nice house. All you need is GREEN. Just buy more and more and a lot more trees.

Benjamine Moore also has a colorful terra cotta called Salmon Stream 2173-30. They pair it with a color called Maple Surup 1105 and Limestone 513.

Here is a modern version of terra cotta: Powers

Love this take on traditional colors; would look good with a light grey roof: Front Exterior

Like this washed look of light terra cotta and pale turquoise: Modern California Style Tuscan Villa with Standing Seam Metal Roof & Guest House

This raspberry red with black and grey would look good too: Willits Compound

This home is neutral, too, but truly a standout. Mullions black, supports black, trim dark gray, body a lighter gray and even some light/gray blue incorporated. The cherry on the sundae would be a terra cotta front door.

Search inthe box above for "craftsman dormer" and you'll see lots of ideas for color on your home.

Ranch style house with stucco/eifs and craftsman details? Paint isn't the only thing it needs. Architects with no imagination and builders who think they are architects do more harm than good.

Landscape and plantings - your home color seems subtle and nice - even if neighbors is similar - made me think of some before and after landscapes - like this one . . notice neighbors home -

This is not your home, just a picture of one in your neighborhood. So, one important thing to know is what is your roof color? Have you selected that yet?

Be careful, if your roof is black, not to select too bright an orange shade. May remind you too much of a Halloween color scheme. And, do samples before buying all that paint!

Green was the first color that came to my mind when I looked at your house. A soft green color. Love your house!
