Is this a solid piece of wood that is as thick as it looks here? How was it fixed to the wall? Thanks!

Great question! The wood is reclaimed barn wood that we created a frame for and then tucked it in there using glue, screws and finesse. We hope that helps - let us know if you have any other questions!

this is gorgeous and something i want to do, just worried it wont support the weight of itself + the sink. how do you anchor it to the wall to make sure it stays?
