Looks like Rainforest Green marble. One of my favorite stones and especially for an arts & crafts - ish setting. Beautiful!

I'm very happy with it. The mantel piece is made up of three different exotic woods. The artist and friend who built it was Thom Scott. He is a very talented eclectic furniture maker. You can google his name to find his website. He specializes in very beautiful, exotic woods. The flooring came from his supply; the picture doesn't do it justice. It's a dark floor and quite the conversation piece.

Correct - not a granite. actually it's serpentine, which is harder than most marbles.
